There are? Where have they been hiding the past 10 years?
In the rural "fix" implied by the farmers advocacy, you have to ask yourself a couple questions:
1)Why not get DBS
2)If they currently have nothing, is there even an applicable franchise authority? If there is a franchise authority covering an unserved area, I want that job!!

(By the way, I don't disagree that the process could use reform and streamlining, but like you said, if residents end up paying extra taxes because some significant revenue stream went away, all to make things easier to get a 3rd me-too tv provider, something is definitely wrong)
