I have not explored NJ or LI since I live in Manhattan. I have found Numismatic coin dealers but they either do not trade bullion coins or have silly markup and a two week wait to get coins.

Let me know if you find someone in NJ or LI. This will give me a reason to drive down to my friends in these areas ;-)

What you heard is silly and or not true.

The GLD ETF issues shares only upon delivery of physical gold it does not buy or sell futures.

BTW look for a delivery of gold tomorrow Tuesday as the premium has risen to point one five percent. This small premium of .15% is sufficient to lead participant broker dealers to short shares, deliver physical gold and receive new shares to cover those shorted.

I expect a minimum delivery of 3.1 tons, on Tuesday 17, Jan.
