The author's rhetoric clouds what he has actually written. Let me rewrite his statements from a less biased stance.

He will probably vote to reverse Roe v. Wade.

He will allow democratically elected state legislatures (rather than 9 SC justices) to determine their state's abortion policy.

He will not be a champion of voting rights for minorities,

He will not use race/ethnic distinctions in determining voting rights.

or a bulwark against racial and gender discrimination.

He will not set policy based on race or gender.

If his record is any indication, and we have very little else to go on, he will almost always side with the powerful interests, whether in government or the great corporations, against the little guy.

He will always side with the most powerful interest group in the world, the American people.
