There is no question that ultimately if iran does not change its evil ways, there will be at least two obliterated mideast nations both whose name starts with the letter I. I always go back to realities and i have memories of the Cold War. Its time for a red phone in tel aviv and tehran unless of course we believe the dubious notion that iran would accept the destruction of the Persian people in order to destroy Israel. Many, many Iranians are already saying stop sending money to the rathole known as palestine and fix the broken down infra structure at home. The truth is that iranians and israelis have more in common pertaining to true national interests than the letter I. I still look to the old bulwark against communism and sunni arab nationalists and fundamentalists--Turkey, Iran and Israel-- to one day again emerge and play a stabilizing role again vis a vis Russia and the wahabis. I hope we survive so we can get there.
