What is your point Mish?? So long as the US economy grows -- as it is doing now -- and so long as the dollar can be propped up by recycling the current account deficit -- as it has been for many, many years -- then we have a means to keep a floor under the dollar. The game changes when the economy slows and the current account deficit cannot be financed and the dollar falls. Your misdiagnosis of the situation in Japan and the conditions that led Japan to experience deflation has not been corrected -- far from it. Banana Republics don't experience deflation -- and we Mish are now a banana Republic. Your analysis is badly flawed as I see it.
