okey-dokey then.

thank god it wasn't the deodorant
thing.

and now, i'm off to our local pub
for a couple of local draft and to shoot
a few games of slop 8-ball with some
of the local guys. <vbg>

elp~

nnbm is like that too. most of the posts here are personal
and local. we have a good quality of consciousness here
and i enjoy that being part of my life. if my posts seem
few and short, rest assured that it's just out of courtesy
to you and the others here so that you can have plenty
of time left for your local lives...

for me, nnbm always seems a bit like a farmhouse kitchen.

everyone coming and going
and busy with their lives,
but dropping in for awhile to say 'hi'
and share a few thoughts
or what they've been up to.

it's like someone coming in from
baling hay to fill their thermos
with lemonade,

and someone else coming in from
doing barn chores to ask
how things are going down in the field,

and someone else just coming back
from town with some parts for
the tractor they're working on,

and someone else coming in
from hoeing potatoes
out in the garden....

it's like the outside world
comes and goes out of the room...
and yes, lives that are locally lived,
but for a little while at least,
are in one place that intersects
with a whole lotta other places.
