Bush let 9-11 happen after being warned on 8-6 of impending Al Qaida attacks inside the US. What makes you think he has "protected" us? Did Bush "protect" us by letting all the Saudis out of the country after 9-11 without being interrogated? Did he "protect" us by rushing us into war against a non-terrorist country just because he wanted to? And without post-invasion planning or proper body armor? Iraq had nothing to do with Al Qaida. Bush actually created thousands of new terrorists and made Al Qaida stronger. His line "bring it on!" probably got a few hundred of our men killed. And Bush has still not captured Osama and his inner circle though that becomes less and less relevant. The time to grab him was at Tora Bora. Bush let a ceasefire be called and Osama got away. Why did Bush allow this?
