Oh please. Iraq may be getting worse, not better. Our casualties in the past few weeks are horrendous and it has nothing to do with "the elections" as Bushies claimed. In fact, the elections seems to have had very little difference. The big issue now is whether the Shias will share power and oil money with the Sunnis. And why should they? But if they don't, there's going to be more civil war.

Basically, it's all a big mess and we need our guys and our money back home. Iraq never attacked us, was never a grave threat and we shouldn't have invaded the damn place to begin with. In fact our very presence there creates twice as many terrorists as we manage to kill.

Shia's top leader said today the insurgency is strong and not subsiding at all. Where your "good news in Iraq" comes from I don't know, but the fact is that this is a quagmire of our own creation and if we stay there we're going to get more of the same for a long-long time. But if we pull out and let the Iraqis take care of themsedlves, maybe the whole thingg will subside.

So why won't Bush agree to pull out? (and some say he will by election day if the GOP is in trouble) Because of Halliburton, arms and oil profits, and because he can use the war as an excuse for anything, by hiding behind the troops as so-called commander in chief. Some commander. He is the worst one this country has ever had bar none. And the most dishonest and corrupt.
