"If they refuse to sell, there is no problem."

Years ago a wave of western European farmers started buying land in western Canada. These farmers invested in new farms, new houses, upgraded infrastructure and basically better farming practices. Some of them had the audacity to invest in little grain mills and grind grain and flour and sell it to the local stores and a few of them introduced organic farming back to the area.

This new wave of farmers infuriated the old school farmers so much that strict laws were passed to keep new immigrant farmers out. They can still come here but it ain't easy and this in my opinion is stupid.
