If one views this as a people problem Mexico in my opinion would be better off if it were part of the US. However, this would prove to be a financial strain for the US. When you speak of force it could happen Zetas could be the reason as they very well could have a long rang goal. It is apparent their war is on wealth their rational of that might be far more than just dollars. Doesn't seem like it is a Robin Hood Route.

You have again answered my questions where I was told this group is very well run and has numerous well educated people are part of it. The search of this group for easy income will force wealth to flee. Lack of fodder on that side will assuredly drive them across the border to this side. We are then forced to protect our own and the result could very well be war. It would be one very confusing war, LA has a huge Hispanic populous siblings galore on the other side of the border which would promote civil unrest in this area.

It is entirely possible years down the line that Mexico with open borders would choose to become a state of the US. The border fence I believe will alienate the very people who could promote the US. Irony of this whole thing is exposure to a life of better and possibility of hope is taken away form the poor. So Zeta or like if they have any long range political plans have plenty of time to instill fear and our fence will aid them. This all amounts to short range thinking and long term mess in my opinion.

Canada I do not think will ever join the US. As far as I know she still remains a member of the British Commonwealth which I believe does aid her independence.
