As one who studies history you know the answer. Moore is just one more example of an outsider lacking privilege and power, fighting to change the status quo, until, through popular support, he becomes rich and powerful. Then like many before him, he thinks, well the status quo isn't so bad, works for me.

The monarchist system in Europe worked for the aristocrats too, which is why most of the redcoat Generals were Lords and such. The poor bastard spilling his blood on the front lines wasn't doing it for England he was doing it because they would shoot him, or hang him, if he didn't. Most of the redcoat soldiers had more in common with the Americans and many went over to join them, so they could stay, risking the hanging for treason penalty if caught, or if the Brits won.

Not sure where GWB ancestors were at that time but it is obvious GWB is acting like the Monarch himself these days.
