I'm sure Iran is more worried about us than they are worried about Israel, given that we are surrounding them. I don't think they're too worried about us either really. All we've got left is air or missile strikes, which is kind of a win-win for them, as the strikes would more than likely be ineffectual if we did mount them. They would just garner sympathy for Iran and make us look even more like a bully that plays favorites, since we've never even mentioned Israel's nuclear arsenal.

"I just don't see Iran and Israel as secret allies and buddies!" I didn't say buddies. But they have worked together in the past and have a good idea of what they would be up against. Of course, given that we have handed our government over to fanatics with a "shoot first and ask questions later" attitude, Iran is just as capable, if not more so, to flushing the pragmatists out in favor of those who can only perceive black and white. I've had the sense that Iran's attempt to dispute the Holocaust is more to insult/mock the West than to insult Israel. You mentioned in an earlier post that the Iranians are Persians, not Arabs. That means a lot more than it would seem on the surface. The Persians tend to be better educated and a lot more sophisticated than the Arabs. Add to that is their inherent wariness brought on by attacks from Arabs and Mongols throughout their history.......and that makes them a very clever opponent. Not everything is as it seems.
