Yes, Bush Sr. bailed out of his pilot's cockpit and left his two plane-mates to go down to their deaths. When he was interviewed about it on TV he looked deeply haunted. Ironically, Bush Sr. used this episide as proof he was a "hero" in WWI. Well maybe he was, but this plain fact raised a lot of questions.
