You were commenting on a HYPOTHETICAL question about an IMPOSSIBLE third term (impossible because banned by the US constitution), making the question a 'what if' kind of question.

Fortunately (for the curious) the question WAS ASKED by major polling operations at the time --- and showed Clinton winning a hypothetical match-up with Bush in 2000. (In fact, the polling showed the public fairly unenthusiastic with BOTH Gore and Bush at the time....)
