<<The .50 caliber kitchen knife:

Doctors seek kitchen knife ban>>

We have that down here, blades have to be less than 6". I only have about a dozen that are against the law.

5 years ago a drunk sawed his girl friends head off using only a 2" blade pen knife while several neighbors watched. They were afraid to act and a call to police gave him 5 minutes to get the job done.

They've obviously never tried making Butternut Squash soup from scratch. Need a hefty 8"-10" chef's knife for that operation.

"The doctors claimed they had consulted leading chefs who said the knives were not needed for cooking - a claim disputed by chefs contacted by The Scotsman."
