Campaign financing and lobbying guidelines continue to evolve for the better, but there will always be politicians that test the limits. I still believe though that the House and Senate are more manageable than the executive and judicial branches.

"I say we need TERM LIMITS and CONTRIBUTION LIMITS."

Er... the SUPREME COURT has held that campaign contributions are 'free speech'.

Term limits would have to be enacted by each State... or else you will have to amend the US Constitution to get that, just like you would have to amend it to limit campaign contributions.

NEITHER is going to happen... I can't even think of a politician who has introduced a proposed Constitutional amendment to do EITHER... nor am I aware of any State legislature or constitution assembly that has endorsed EITHER.

So, if you want any of those constitutional amendments, you'd better get cracking rolling them out (or else: replace the entire Supreme Court with radicals)!

Me... as far as the problems with campaign contributions go: I'd be *happy* to let the pols accept any contribution they want to, but REQUIRE that ALL CONTRIBUTIONS be immediately disclosed on the Web for all to see. Then, let the public make their own minds up.

Sunshine makes for clean government.
