Al Qaida had nothing to do with Iraq. Nothing.

Why'd you leave that one out?

Also, Iraq had no WMD, no air force, no missiles, no real artillery, no real navy, no real terrorist connections of any kind. What they did have was something Bush lusted for, oilfields and an easy invasion victory.

Too bad GW didn't plan beyond the invasion, huh? Three years later, 2150 American dead, 15,000 wounded and no end in sight. Experts say it could cost us as much as two trillion dollars, more than the entire worth of the place if you were to suck out every gallon of oil. Thanks a lot, GW.

If AQ has not attacked the US again, it is more because of luck than anything else. Just go take a look at the porous borders with Mexico and you would realize just how lucky we have been so far.

As for AQ having no free haven, they now have all of Iraq which once upon a time they couldn't enter because of Saddam. And as for Afghanistan, please let me know when Karzai leaves Kabul without heavy US military escort and visits some other part of the country.
