While warning against downplaying the taped threat from Osama bin Laden, officials at intelligence and law enforcement agencies said there also has been no recent increase in "chatter" that can indicate that such an attack is imminent.<< Here, ladies and gentlemen, we witness apparently sane people, indeed the president of the US and those around him, no less, rejecting an "offer of truce" made by the voice of a character of fiction on a videotape. Unbelievable, and even more unbelieveable is that there are people who will actually believe this is true.
