"And you have presented no evidence which supports this"

Go out and read either of the Bamford books (they are the best ever written about the NSA and it's operations).

The first one (I read it in the 'eighties) is called The Puzzle Palace.

I understand his new one brings operations even more into the modern world --- but the NSA has long been ahead of everyone else in computational innovations. They run the largest, most powerful collection of computers in the entire world up there in Maryland. (And, you can see their collection dishs near each of the major satellite uplink farms.)

The most fascinating feat (to my thinking, anyway) was the (then secret) program whereby they tapped major global fiber optic cables on the ocean's floors. Amazing feats!
