I never said WCDMA was GSM and not CDMA... It just isn't QCOM's WCDMA.... No Niche controlled standards...
What really matters in the end is who makes all the money and who has the market share, not who pisses on the The Great Wall of Royalties" the highest....

Compare QCOM & Others market share in WCDMA handset business...

QCOM isn't even in the base station chip business for WCDMA last time I looked so no infra. chip sale $$$$$$$'s....

I think anyone who goes down this "Oh well everybody pays royalties to "Q" path is in denial that Q's CDMA versions are going to be a minority in the marketplace, just like IS95 was/is...

You QCOM centric guys just keep on jousting with that roaylty windmill and applaud Mqurice everytime he uses those "famous" Euro trash/cabal/guild crap.... He is doing you no favor...

Just remember WCDMA will never see the light of day......
