12:59 LLTC Linear Tech earnings call update (37.35 -1.15) -Update-

Dec qtr noted to be good for the co, with a positive book to bill ratio. Inventory at distributors noted to be lean with lead times unchanged. The Mar qtr is historically strong for Linear. Cancellations were noted as minor. Bookings increased domestically and internationally. Turns requirements remains at approximately 60%. Lead times at 4-6 weeks, which is noted to easily support this level of turns. Co also forecasting increase in profits in the 5-6% range. During Q&A: Co noted within analog they are very diversified, noting they are seeing growth in infrastructure and more classical analog growth areas. Generally, co thinks 2006 has gotten off to a better start than 2005.
