As a western colony, Isra'El had many resources compared to the Third World that the Arab countries were at the time.

However, it is a moot point to say that they would be better off by accepting colonialism.

Your comment smacks of the same sentiments those use in saying that Blacks in America are far better off for having been taken into slavery as opposed to staying in Africa.
