EBAY and AAPL are 8% of the QQQQ, yet that's only down a dime after hours:

it is said that the market 'must breathe' now and then. what you see in the XAU today is generally referred to as heavy breathing.

in spite of flash's blatherings, today's China is definitely a good sight MORE capitalistic than the entire West , without exceptions.
there is no political freedom in China ( yet ) , but there definitely IS economic freedom.
as far as i'm concerned, economic freedom is higher up on my values scale as it were. after all, as we know , 'democracy' is largely about 2 wolves and a sheep deciding what's going to be for dinner. has anyone noticed a difference when voting out one party and voting in another? because i haven't. they all expand the state and its powers, and true liberty has long ago bit the dust in the overpowering molasses of the welfare/warfare state. at least in China an entrepreneur can do his thing without much interference. in Europe you have to be crazy to open a new business...the bureaucracy probably kills 70% of them on the spot with its red tape and outrageous taxes.
