Duke, I think you have to be very careful in making a distinction between good companies and good stocks. AMD's chart has been telling a very good story for many months now, while so called 'premier' companies like INTC and DELL have gone nowhere for years. DELL has better than doubled revenues since the stock first cracked at the 54 level way back in early 1999... 'Nuff said...

so is the market cap of amd relative to intel. I own tiny portion of amd (and intel) and I am interested more in how my personal tiny portfolio moves rather than who is bigger.....
