Well it was not like we always locked the door. The drycleaning driver used to hang the cloths on a hook inside the back door. I am not sure the mild cabinet was locked all that often. Our front door was usually locked, but the back door mostly wasn't unless we were leaving town.

When burglars started making the rounds of the neighborhood we locked up for a while.
