I offered middle ground--a fica system that runs as the best managaged, fully funded pension fund would. Hire the best managers but no choice for enron bound investors. Perhaps we can get an opt out clause for folks like you who are skilled at managing their own money. Bet most folks pick the pension over self management and more importantly over current SS system. mike
