AMAT was disappointing today, up less than the Naz on a % basis. Three steps ahead and two steps back. The financial community isn't what I call bullish about semis - not at all assuming majority of call sellers represent Big Money who is bearish selling upside potential to the "gamblers". Perhaps one possible reason mid and small cap might outperform - in case of Varian very little "option related noise". I believe many shorts thought 20 would not hold and perhaps some call sellers got themself in (little) trouble . Otherwise It's a long way to Tipperary, It's a long way to go.
