"It is best to have honest portrayal and history."

No kidding! (But, with the 'victors writing the history books', LOL, there is always a little play in that measurement of 'honest history'.)

"The political parties and the campaigns blow up their candidates way beyond their ability and voters are fooled by it."

No argument there....

"Think about it. If John or George came in with their grades, work history...would they end up as the top choice for President of a company for example?"

<GGG> Not likely.

Still, I guess that the important abilities for the job of 'politician' are maybe a bit different from the normal job... things like 'kiss babies', 'smooch with campaign donors', and 'always have a fall-guy'. :)
