As I keep mentioning, there are several pools of money that the Republicans are trying to conflate. I don't know for sure, but strongly suspect, that Reid was getting money from those tribes before Abramoff rumbled onto the scene. I also suspect that after Abramoff was contracted with, Reid starting getting less money than before. Because that has been the pattern.
