Remember chirac is a man of the right and an authoritarian at heart. he felt the US was going the wrong way on iraq and whatever happened with the US and Bush he took personally. That trumped his conservatve nature. After the attacks in spain and england and after the insurrection in France this winter, Chirac is back to his roots. Think Slim Pickens in Dr. Strangelove, then think Chirac de Sade. Its about time the French developed a backbone. MIke
