Please list the assets/things (other then gold, which price was fixed by Roosevelt) that went up in depression/deflation of 1929-1933.

I'm not an expert on the era, but I'd say movies and booze would be two areas.

I remember reading many people had to fix thier old shoes - couldn't afford to buy new ones - too expensive - shoe repair shops made a killing - my grandpa said he had to walk to school barefoot - so he quit - HAHA. Could you check and see if shoes went up in price during that time?
