3 swallows don't make a summer ElM. That's not really a stampede. But 10% of Kiwis live overseas, so when combined, there is mass migration from NZ [albeit with small numbers].

<Not because they are economic migrants like Africans and LATAM.

I bet they left because nothing happens in NZ. Youth grow up and need a taste of the real world.

It's a lot to do with economic migration. But it's also to see the world; get the OE [overseas experience].

One has already quit Japan and will be back here to live [for some time anyway]. Another will be back in another year or two. The third will probably come back at some time. NZers are highly mobile; peripatetic.
