What about a slow relentless upward inflation creep and rolling depression hitting different areas at different times mixed in? Why does everyone assume the end game is depression or hyperinflation?

By "predict exactly the outcome" I indeed meant to include the timing of events and not only the events.

I truly respect your position and believe odds are "somewhat" higher that it will go as you suggest than we go the inflation route. But I also feel that GST is not wrong when he talks about a bubble in the USD.

BTW, I am surprised that nobody on this thread reacted to the recent article on the coming creation of the Iranian Oil Exchange. It appears to me that this could be a trigger that would collapse the USD against everything. Would that change your mind on the way you see this mess unfolding?
