I don't have a lot of faith in IQ scores. It has some predictive power, but I wouldn't hire on the basis of the number. It's like SAT scores -- if someone gets 1550 or above it does mean something, and if they get 1000 or less, that means something too, but neither of these things mean that the person will or won't graduate from college ultimately.

I don't have a TV so I don't follow breaking news. I have a relative who was connected to important people in Washington for a while several years ago, and I learned from him that what's on the news is basically worthless in understanding what's really going on in Washington. But then it's basically worthless for understanding anything that I know about, so I shouldn't have been so surprised. Anyway, I have no idea if Bush is a dolt or not, and I try not to think about it, since if he is, and I knew it, I'd worry uselessly.

I'm not worried about my GOOG stock even with the drop.
