When you made that statement, there were 75 million shares outstanding. Let me get this straight. You invested in a company expecting to have your share count diluted by over 400%?

I believe the number was about 96 million at that time.

Most of the XM shares I have held as my "core" shares were bought at under $2/share, just before the fully diluted sharecount rose to about 275 million. It now stands at 350 million. Other than a few hundred shares I owned before then (also bought with the understanding they would need additional funding), these shares were purchased with a full comprehension of how much money XM would need going forward.

I will say that the only real exception to date has been the $650 Million spent on MLB -- and nobody could have seen the assinine deal Sirius entered into with NFL coming. Nobody. It was stupid at the time (and continues to be). By doing it, XM was forced to do something to maintain credibility in the sports arena. As it has worked out, it wasn't a bad deal for XM, but it did up the ante before I had expected it.

I was wondering what kind of loss you took on those 5K shares you shorted at 11?
