Don't know about other places, but things must have changed at Stratton. The Doc was a Board certified Orthopedic surgeon from one of the Boston hospitals, who was moonlighting at the clinic (free skiing being one of fringe benefits, of course). He was assisted by a nurse - and 2 students from Harvard Med School, who were having their clinical rotation in Sports Medicine (when not skiing). The X-ray and other equipment were new, all digital. My friend, who is himself an MD (Psychiatrist), had his wrist re-examined and X-rayed immediately upon return, and it was set perfectly well.

The sport of skiing attracts lotsa good people these days.... ;)
