Would be interesting to know how much PRC spends on military, in total and as a percentage of their GNP.
I am talking about the real figures and less about the public "official" figures released by their top "management".

The U.S.S.R. went bankrupt after spending 40% of national income on the military. President George Bush's administration will spend a staggering $419.3 billion US on the military this fiscal year.

I notice how there is a percentage for the USSR but not for the US. The percent for the US would be more like 4% than 40%


Go ahead and guess again. That percentage is well into the double digits........not 40% but at the rate we're going, we'll get there. Afghanistan, not Reagan, brought down the USSR. Do you want Iraq to bring down the US?
