I'll never forget the Penthouse Magazine article which hit news stands maybe a month or so prior to his victory over Ford. It had a beautiful 2 page watercolor of Carter shaving, looking into a mirror. The face in the mirror was Richard Nixon. The article was so surprisingly blasting of carter, so illustrative of the grand similarities between Nixon and Carter, that to this day I swear it single handedly was responsible for Carters near loss after holding a great lead late in the game. What great fodder...I'd love to see that one again.

One imagines the other responder here doesn't realize that much of what is presented as the truth in your post, simply is, and he'd just confirm it if he tried to investigate to show why he doesn't believe it.

The desperation of the right is palpable.

Smearing a great Christian American like Jimmy Carter is the lowest of the low. Carter, unlike Bush Sr. or Reagan, never sought to use his position to enrich himself. Instead, he used his power to help the poor and disenfranchised all around the world. The only true Christian president we've had in the last 50 years.

The rightwing has forgotten was true Christianity means.
