Well, Pati, I know it's not quite THIS bad in other areas of the country, but there's no doubt in my mind that law enforcement in general is deteriorating in the US. An article in todays paper (Macon Telegraph) shows that, although violent crimes were up locally last year across the board, gas drive-offs were down 44%. Hell, THAT wouldn't have dropped if the gas stations didn't start making people pre-pay! "A Sign Of The Times"! Police write traffic tickets and the people have to buy a gun and fend for themselves! Well, SHIT, if they're not going to arrest the criminals, BREAK UP the police dept! I might have to put up with a couple speeders, but at least I don't have to spend $20,000 in court because I shot some useless crack-head!
