Thanks EC

I got interested in this area partly because from my younger days as a Chemistry Honours student I can still remember which element goes with each symbol. You've got to know your Erbium from your Terbium from your Thulium, your Praseodymium from your Neodymium, your Yttrium from your Ytterbium.

But more importantly, I figured with all the metal action going on, the rare earths, which generally are actually rare, might be participating.

But thanks for your perspective, which makes sense when I think about it, as rare commodities often are limited to one or a few suppliers. That's what makes them rare, after all.

I will close by reminding you to avoid pusillanimous toadies, particularly those with squamous tendencies.

The English language makes a great playground for grownups, don't you think?
