Which is why I believe that saying over and over again that Bush will indeed be impeached makes the likelihood of that, even with Republicans, much greater. It may be learned helplessness but I also think that the US has become a nation of too many wimps, all of them rightwingers. Instead of thinking for themselves and having the courage of their convictions, they opt for the movement that tells them they no longer have to think, they just have to obey. To obey is so much easier than to think.
