Isn't it cool that, when armed with a GPS receiver, how easily it is to return to the exact same spot, say, in the Cascade mountain range, 3 miles by foot from the road up a steep trail, beside this flat slab at exactly 5280 feet elevation. I mean, you walk for miles and all of it looks the same except there it is, the exact spot where you buried your... um, banana peel from that lunch stop on your day hike. <g>
