We may not hear much about alternative supplies of fuel until we get a democrat in the whitehouse. If Gore had rightfully taken office when he won the 2000 election i'm sure we would have been hearing more than what we want to hear about the subject.

The tar sands in Canada are a big item when talking about oil supply too.

At one time there was talk that our own oil shale in Colorado would supply us with all the oil we would need for many many years. I think they tried but couldn't perfect the technology.

The only thing I can remember bush ever mentioning is fuel cell technology but i'm sure he's lied about other energy projects.
