So?
Dowd never urged invading the ME and converting them to Christianity (or ever championed any other idea quite so nutty). Coulter has been completely irresponsible several times- and is, quite frankly, a vicious kook. Dowd is extremely partisan, but stops short of advocating things that would cause wars and mayhem. You may not see the difference between the two of them, but I think many people do, so your point, isn't a point, imo- and in fact, it's rather sad that THAT many people on SI are "fans" of a woman like Coulter who advocates such crazy things. Why should they tie with a woman like Dowd, who is partisan, yet responsible enough not to advocate violence? You don't see the difference, really? You don't think it's a terrible thing that someone who advocated that kind of violence (invading the ME and converting them by force) would have the same size following as someone like Dowd? Pretty terribly thing- imo. Coulter should be as marginalized as the KKK- that she isn't, is a travesty.

Coulter probably has the same number of fans on SI as does Maureen Dowd.

MoDo is snarky and sarcastic, but I've never heard her call for anyone to be killed.

Have you ever studied the run-up to the American Civil War? People back then talked just like Coulter does now and it had real consequences.

We are naive to think that eliminationist jingoism will not eventually have real world consequences for us and our children.
