How about Adak? Some island out on the Aleutian chain where the weather is foul most of the time. That would cure 'em. There was a movie some years back depicting that very solution. I forget whether the movie's conclusion was that it was a good idea or a bad one. In that CNN feature I mentioned, one cop tried to find a kid he could save. He almost saved one kid, but the kid got killed anyway. I don't think these people are beyond redemption, but redemption has to come from within. Others can't do it for them. Putting them out of business is the only way. If we tolerate that behavior, we're going to get more of it.
