It goes beyond settlements. That's why they are mad at the Israelis. They are mad at us for upholding dictators and monarchies in their midst, funding Israel to the tune of $3B per year in subsidies and $5B per year in guaranteed loans, now occupying two countries, and for our apparent double standards on the nuke issue. All somewhat reasonable gripes. So now we have to find a way to back away gracefully without broadcasting to terrorists that their methods work. That is why I say, never should we give quarter to terrorists and that if we are attacked by Muslim terrorists in our country we should make sure the countries of origin suffer tenfold. They need to know that it's ten eyes of theirs for every one of ours. In the mean time, we need to do what we do best. Let's make the whole Middle East irrelevant by inventing the technology to make oil irrelevant. That would bring us the ultimate victory and sideline the backward mullahs in the Middle East forever.
