Superb standpoint. I agree, someone insufficiently responsible to use contraception isn't someone ready to bring up children...

In my more totalitarian moods, I've contemplated one of the automatic penalties for a crime being permanent sterilisation. (Maybe any felony, or perhaps any crime more serious than a parking offence). If someone isn't capable of following the law, they lose the right to have children.
I think it could get through, on the grounds that those most likely to be affected are least likely to vote... and of course consider the elements being removed from the gene pool ;-)

I found her argument about the futility of sex ed apt, which is why I posted the piece.
