looking good for the last few days.
love to see the whole BK thing be forgotten, everyone paid and happy as they should be and the Chinese connection along with some serious sales taking this where it should be.
With oil back to the very high 60's the electricity companies HAVE to make more out of the existing structure and right of ways that exist...they will NOT get more of those, but the CAN get a LOT more juice over these same lines with the right product

Composite Technology Lands Chinese ACCC Conductor Order

ACCC Seen as Breakthrough Solution for China's Soaring Electricity Transmission Needs

IRVINE, Calif., Jan. 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Composite Technology Corporation (CTC) (OTC Bulletin Board: CPTC - News) announces the placing of an order for 60 kilometers of its proprietary ACCC (Aluminum Conductor Composite Core) conductor and certain related hardware by one of China's leading cable manufacturers, Jiangsu Far East Group Limited, for installation in Fujian Province. The purchase order value is approximately $1.1 million. Project construction is expected to begin on March 15th, 2006, and be operational by April.

The order placed by Jiangsu Far East Group for delivery to Xiamen and Fuzhou Power Bureaus comprised 30 kilometers of CTC's 1020 kcmil ACCC Drake conductor and 30 kilometers of CTC's 816 kcmil ACCC Grosbeak conductor along with certain related hardware. This order will be used in two regional high voltage transmission projects: one of the conductors will be deployed for a new transmission line; and the other will be used as a replacement and ampacity upgrade to an existing line. Upon successful completion of these first installments, Fujian Province has indicated that it intends to purchase ACCC for both new transmission corridors as well as reconductor replacements in the province, according to Mr. Jiang Xi Pei, Chairman and CEO of Jiangsu Far East Group Limited. Using its strength in strategic planning Jiangsu Far East's forward thinking management was quick to recognize that CTC's ACCC transmission line product could quickly and cost effectively solve the congestion problem in China's rapidly expanding grid structure. Mr. Jiang is particularly excited about the two Power Bureaus' interest in purchasing CTC products for new construction projects because it demonstrates confidence in ACCC as an excellent solution for the huge new construction market.

It is reported that during the 2006-2010 period, State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC), which controls the transmission of electricity in 22 provinces, plans to invest heavily in power grid construction, basically eliminating the bottleneck of power supply and building a flexible and efficient state network by 2010. In the coming five years, SGCC will give priority to grid development including the construction of super high-voltage networks, interregional networks and raising interregional transmission capacity. Last year SGCC estimated that it could spend as much as 107 billion Yuan ($13 Billion U. S. Dollars) building and repairing power lines in 2005. Additionally, China Southern Power Grid Co., the smaller of the two state electricity distributors, estimated that it could spend 30.5 billion Yuan ($3.7 billion U.S. Dollars) in 2005 building and repairing grids.

"We are delighted that our ACCC conductor was chosen for these projects. Our ACCC conductor provides the most cost-effective solution for the challenges confronting the Chinese grid. We are proud to be able to contribute to China's economic expansion by providing today's best transmission solution," said Benton Wilcoxon, CEO of Composite Technology Corporation. "This order is an important breakthrough in China and, we anticipate that licensing agreements for aluminum wire stranding of our ACCC cable in China will soon occur."

Going for THREE MILLION shares today...if that doesn't mean something good, I'll have to do a high wire act on their cables

Composite Technology Announces Plans to Acquire EU Energy plc
Thursday March 2, 11:52 am ET
Acquisition Combines Reliable DeWind Turbines With High-Capacity ACCC Transmission Conductors

IRVINE, Calif., March 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Composite Technology Corporation (CTC) (OTC Bulletin Board: CPTC - News) a leading developer of high-temperature, low sag (HTLS) conductors for electric transmission and distribution lines, announced today that it has concluded a Letter of Intent with certain binding agreements to acquire the entire share capital of EU Energy plc (EU Energy), a United Kingdom corporation, from its shareholders in exchange for common stock of CTC. EU Energy plc owns EU Energy Inc., a Nevada corporation, which entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with CTC on December 22, 2005. A more detailed description of the transaction will be included in a current report on form 8K to be filed shortly.

EU Energy has recently signed two D-8.2 turbine reserve agreements in the U.S. for 1,600 megawatts for delivery over the next 5 years and plans to have an assembly plant in the U.S. in operation by the first quarter of 2007. In late December of 2005, EU announced an agreement in India for the purchase of 300 megawatts in D-6 and D-8 turbines over the next 3 years and plans to have those turbines manufactured in India. The purchase price is approximately $1 million per megawatt. EU has recently signed license agreements in China for the production of D-6 and D-8 turbines. Please see EU Energy's press releases available on their website for more information on these agreements.

EU Energy is the owner of DeWind GmbH, a German wind turbine manufacturer it acquired in July 2005, which produced the 50hz 1.25 megawatt D-6 and 2 megawatt D-8 turbines for the European market. Following the acquisition, EU Energy negotiated an exclusive arrangement with Voith AG to acquire its Vorecon technology WinDrive hydro-dynamic torque converter to modify its D-8 series to incorporate this interface between the blade rotation gearbox and a synchronous generator with an output of 13.8kv at the proper frequency. The result is the new 60Hz 2 megawatt DeWind D8.2 for the U.S. and Canadian market and the new 50Hz 2 megawatt DeWind D8.1 for the European market; both of which are expected to outperform the competition due to the proven reliable gearbox and torque converter that enables stable generator output with direct connection to the grid without the need for expensive or problematic power electronics.

"CTC has been exploring the wind energy market for two years in response to wind farm developers' interest in new tower materials and in using our ACCC conductor to remedy transmission constraint issues," said Benton Wilcoxon, Chairman and CEO. "We believe the combination of highly reliable German DeWind power generation technology with our high performance ACCC conductor for grid connections and enhanced transmission capacity, is a perfect solution for meeting the increased demand for more economical renewable energy in the U.S. and worldwide. CTC's mission has always been to transform the way electricity is generated and delivered. CTC's acquisition of EU Energy will add environmentally friendly and financially feasible generation to the world power market."

Michael Porter, Chairman and CEO of EU Energy, said: "DeWind was a classic business case of a company that spent too much capital on engineering perfection and too little on marketing. We were able to rescue this engineering excellence and optimize the product by combining it with a proven more effective conversion system from Voith and immediately market to the tremendous demand for a better wind power product. We are pleased to join CTC and believe that the combination of our company's energy products and our production, marketing and management abilities will allow us to rapidly create a very dynamic energy technologies group."
