Oh, I can understand it, sort of: "Every human life is sacred and inspired by God, and God gave us this land to procreate and multiply". I violently disagree and think that attitude as irrational as it is short-sighted, but I think this is ultimately at the root. However the problem is that those campaigning against abortion are generally not the ones who have to care (or even necessarily pay) for the resultant unwanted babies. I think the key stance for me is "Every child a wanted child" since I can't think of many worse starts than not being wanted by your own mother...
