I got there early, and in the front row...He asked if anyone wanted to go first, and as I was working then, I said yes, I wanted to go first. That took some nerve from me, as I've never had to go to court before (knock on wood), so didn't know what to expect. He was a nice Judge, but don't think I'd want to be on his wrong side....

In his opening for the day, he talked about the lump in our throat when we saw the little blue light, and the increase in our blood pressure, etc.... So when he asked me what my side of the story was (didn't fully stop at a stop sign), I repeated what he said in the beginning, and that was what happened...I said: "I just saw the police car, and it startled me so much, I just sorta rolled around the corner. Not that it was an excuse, but just the explanation of what happened. "

When he stopped laughing he told me to leave, go to pay 1/2 of the fine, and NOT to do it again! <ggg>
